DR BOB - CLEVELAND, OH 7-3-50

This recording was made in Cleveland, Ohio on July 3rd, 1950. The occasion was The First International Alcoholics Anonymous Convention. It also happened to be the last talk given by Doctor Bob. He had been in bed for about 5 months prior to this talk. He died a short time after this talk. He speaks for just a short time but his words are spoken from the heart. He tells us that none of us would have made it this far without someone standing behind us giving us support. After Dr Bob finishes, Bill Wilson speaks for the remainder of the recording. He tells us of the unselfish way that Dr Bob gave his time to this program. Bill most likely knew that Dr Bob wasn't going to be around much longer. Bill goes on to tell about how the AA program came to be. A very interesting recording.
