WINO JOE - TORONTO, CANADA - JULY 1965
Wino Joe Leath from Tyler, Texas recorded this Alcoholics Anonymous talk at the Fourth International AA Conference in Toronto, Canada in July of 1965. Joe gives his sobriety date as August 12th, 1950. Joe opens up with a joke. He tells how his alcoholism progressed. Joe was eventually asking himself, “Why is this happening to me?” He tells a story from the bible that is very similar to an AA Twelfth Step call. Good talk by Wino Joe.
